Police are appealing for information following a hit-and-run crash that left a woman with critical injuries in Sydney’s north-west in the early hours of today.
About 12.40am this morning, emergency services were called to Mons Avenue at West Ryde, following reports an injured woman had been located on the road.
Police believe the woman was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.
The 20-year-old woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
“Officers from Ryde Police Area Command established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“As inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident continue, police are appealing for anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam vision from the area and surrounding streets to come forward.”
