NSW Police have renewed their appeal to locate an 81-year-old man missing from Sydney’s north-west, who was last seen at Halfway Creek in the Clarence Valley.
Police say David Johnston (pictured) was last spoken to by a family member on the phone at about 4pm on Sunday March 16th, and has not been heard from since.
“On Wednesday 19 March 2025, officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command were contacted and commenced inquiries to locate him,” NSW Police said in a statement today.
“Police and family hold concerns due to his age and medical conditions.”
Mr Johnston is believed to be driving a grey Nissan Qashqai with NSW registration DVX78M (pictured, below).

“Following inquiries, officers obtained CCTV footage showing David at a service station in Halfway Creek, about 20km north of Woolgoolga, at 3.39am on Tuesday 18 March,” Police said.
“He was last seen on that morning driving west on Kungala Road, Kungala.
“Despite extensive inquiries including two public appeals for information, David has not yet been located.”
Mr Johnston is described as being of Caucasian in appearance, with white hair, no facial hair and blue/grey eyes.
Police urge anyone between the Mid North Coast and Far North Coast to be on the lookout for him.
Anyone with information about David’s whereabouts is urged to contact Grafton Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
