Detectives from Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance following the burglary of a 64-year-old man’s home in Malvern earlier this month.
“Investigators have been told the victim, a 64-year-old Malvern man, received an alert from his security system indicating that his house may have been broken into about 11.55am on 7 December,” Victoria Police said in a statement today.
“He returned to his Ethel Street home about 12.00pm and told investigators he entered the property from the garage and heard voices inside.
“Two people ran down the front passageway and exited via the front door as he entered.”
Police say the pair got into a silver coloured Subaru RX which was last seen headed towards Toorak Road.
Investigators have released images of two people they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
