Police hunting tree attacker

Police have released footage of a man – believed to be aged in his 50s or 60s – they say may be able to assist their investigations into damage caused to several trees at an Indooroopilly business.

Around 10:50pm on Friday, October 16, police say the man has driven to a business on Moggill Road and drilled holes into poinciana trees on Woodville Street and Moggill Road. The trees are believed to be between 30-50 years old.

The man is described as Caucasian, around 50-60 years old, with a large build, and wearing a light-coloured collared shirt and dark shorts.

The man was driving a dual cab utility, possibly silver in colour.

It was sighted travelling along the Western Freeway prior to and after the offence.

Police are requesting anyone who was travelling along the Western Freeway or Moggill Road Indooroopilly near Woodville Street, between 10.45pm and 11.10pm, and who may have dashcam footage of the man’s vehicle to contact police.
