Police hunt train station attacker

Detectives are investigating a robbery in St Albans in September that saw a 51-year-old woman bashed by a man who accosted her at a train station.

Police say the 51-year-old victim parked her car at the Ginifer Railway Station about 7.40am on Monday 21 September.

As she made her way to the city-bound platform, they say she was was approached by a male who asked for her car keys.

The victim declined and was assaulted by the man. He then emptied the contents of her bag on the ground, before stealing her iPhone 11.

The offending man was last seen running north on Willaton Street.

The woman was not physically injured during the incident.

Investigators have released images of a man (pictured) who may be able to assist with enquiries.
