Police dog nabs naked offender

A naked 67-year-old Bridgewater man has been arrested following three reports in the last week of a man acting in an indecent manner at Stirling.

On Friday, police received reports from two women who had seen a man acting indecently at the Stirling Cemetery near Oxford Road, a short distance from the Aldgate Primary School.

Hill Fleurieu Police obtained statements from the victims including a detailed description of the male suspect.

Police plain clothes officers, attended the cemetery on Friday and again on Tuesday in an attempt to locate the suspect.

Just before 2.30pm yesterday, a naked man was spotted by the plain clothes officers inside the cemetery.

Police cordons were set up and a police dog patrol was called into search the area. Police Dog ‘Havoc’ tracked the naked suspect through scrub off Cumberland Avenue, where he was detained and arrested.

The 67-year-old man from Bridgewater has been charged with two counts gross indecency and one count of indecent behaviour.

The arrested man has been bailed with strict conditions to appear in the Mt Barker Magistrates Court on November 18.
