Greensborough Highway Patrol officers are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a 93-year-old driver crashed into a shop front, hitting several pedestrians, in Northcote yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the Separation Street precinct just before 11am on Thursday following reports the elderly driver had struck three pedestrians while attempting to park.
The pedestrians, aged between 54 and 61, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“It’s understood the black Hyundai sedan narrowly missed several other pedestrians who were inside the plaza during the incident,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“The male driver of the car was not seriously injured and stopped at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as deliberate, however investigators would like to speak to witnesses who may have dashcam footage as part of their ongoing enquiries.”
