Police are appealing for information after a 66-year-old man was robbed in Sydney’s Inner West earlier this year.
“Just after 6pm on Monday, 7 September, 2020, a 66-year-old man was walking on Croydon Street near The Boulevarde at Lakemba, when an unknown man approached him from behind and tripped him over,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“He stole his bag containing cash, cigarettes and other personal belongings, before running away on Croydon Street.
“The man fell to the ground but was not seriously injured during the incident.”
As part of ongoing inquiries, detectives have released CCTV images of a man who they say may be able to assist them.
He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his 20s, between 175 and 180cm tall, of medium build, unshaven, and with short black hair. He is depicted wearing a black t-shirt, beige shorts and a black face mask pulled down below his nose.
