Pedestrian, 74, killed in Cammeray crash

A 74-year-old man is in a critical condition after being hit by a car on Sydney’s North Shore yesterday.

Police have been told the man was crossing Miller Street in Cammeray when he was struck by a Honda Accord about 6.45pm on Sunday.

“Passers-by contacted emergency services and rendered aid to the man,” NSW Police said in a statement.

“Officers from North Shore Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended a short time later.

“The man suffered head injuries and was treated on scene before being taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.”

The driver, an 81-year-old man, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
