A 61-year-old motorcyclist has been fined and suspended from driving after he was caught travelling at more than 45km/h over the speed limit on the Mid North Coast yesterday.

Police say that at around 3pm on Sunday, officers from the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting speed enforcement duties on Macleay Valley Way, Kemspey, when they detected a Yamaha allegedly travelling at 127km/h in a marked 100km/h zone.

“The rider allegedly increased his speed to 185km/h, before being stopped by police near the township of Frederickton,” NSW Police said.

The man was issued with a $2520 infringement notice and his licence was suspended for six months.
