Motorcyclist, 51, dies in King Creek crash

An investigation is underway after a 51-year-old motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle crash on the Mid North Coast yesterday.

Police say that at about 2.40pm on Sunday, emergency services were called to King Creek Road, King Creek, about 5km east of Wauchope, after a motorcycle and Holden Statesman sedan collided.

The rider was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, he died at the scene.

The Holden driver, a 74-year-old man, was taken to Port Macquarie Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He also underwent mandatory testing, police said.

A crime scene was established by officers from Mid North Coast Police District, before investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit attended.
