Mosman retirement village manager named NSW’s best

Jo-Anne Quinn from The Manors of Mosman retirement living community has been named NSW Programmed Village Manager of the Year for 2023.

The announcement was made at the Property Council of Australia’s NSW Retirement Outlook event last week.

Ms Quinn, who has been Village Manager at The Manors of Mosman for eight years, said she was excited and elated to receive the award.

“This award reflects the hard work and all those little things we do for the lovely residents,’’ Ms Quinn said.

“It is such a pleasure and honour to support residents as they age in this beautiful community.

“We have a wonderful team of staff providing extraordinary support and we have built a strong team culture. I am enthusiastic and ready for the next 10 years.’’

Aveo’s State Manager of Operations, Mohamed Hage Hassan, congratulated Ms Quinn, describing her as “a real leader’’.

“The wellbeing of residents is always foremost in every decision Jo-Anne makes, as evidenced by the results of the annual resident satisfaction survey which highlights the empowering role she plays,” he said.

The Manors of Mosman is set amongst manicured gardens, providing retirement living for those wishing to live independently and age in place. Residents enjoy a vibrant social calendar with an on-site restaurant and state of the art facilities including a pool and gym.

Ms Quinn is now a state finalist in the National Village Manager of the Year Awards which will be announced on June 22 on the Gold Coast as part of the Property Council of Australia’s Retirement Living Summit.

The awards celebrate high achievement across all areas of the retirement living sector.
