An 83-year-old Kingaroy man was rescued by Queensland Police yesterday after becoming lost on his property the previous night.
Police say the man was located safe and well on the Coverty property at approximately 11.30am on Sunday after a search was conducted with the assistance of QAS, RACQ LifeFlight Rescue, SES, Polair, local police and the Dive Unit.
Police dive crew were directed to his location by the Lifeflight helicopter early yesterday.
“The dive team rendered assistance and carried the man through rough terrain to waiting police and ambulance transportation,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
