A geo-targeting SMS alert issued by police has helped locate a woman missing in Sydney’s Nepean area today.
The 81-year-old woman was last seen at a bus stop on Brisbane Street, near Sydney Street, Oxley Park, about 12.50pm yesterday.
She was reported missing to officers from Nepean Police Area Command later the same day, who commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
As a result of inquiries, including a geo-targeting SMS alert issued to local residents, the woman was located safe and well at a motel in St Clair today.
Police thank the media and the community for their assistance.
