Detectives from the Gold Coast Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 50-year-old Mermaid Beach man with 51 offences following investigations into multiple alleged sexual assault incidents on the Gold Coast.
It will be alleged by Police that between April and November last year, the man committed offences against three women, all aged in their 20s, who were known to him.
Following investigations, officers yesterday executed a search warrant at a Seaview Ave, Mermaid Beach business, where several items were seized.
The man attended Southport Police Station yesterday, where he was arrested and charged with 51 offences, including 34 counts of sexual assault, 14 counts of rape, two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, one count of attempted rape.
He was refused police bail to appear in Southport Magistrates Court.
