Men sought over foreshore assault

ACT Policing has released an image of five men linked to an assault at the Kingston Foreshore.

Police say that at round 11:30pm on November 19, officers responded to reports that two men had been assaulted and had their vehicles damaged on Eastlake Parade.

One of the victims was able to capture an image which features a number of men police would like to speak to regarding the assault.

Officers have already spoken to some witnesses but are aware there are more people who were in the area at the time of the assault who are yet to contact police.

ACT Policing last week launched the Summer Safety focus and Detective Inspector Adrian Craft said police would not tolerate anti-social behaviour.

“No one deserves to be assaulted on a night out,” Detective Inspector Craft said.

“Know your limits, drink responsibly and lookout for your fellow Canberrans.”

If you recognize the men in the pictures, have any dash-cam footage or have other information that could assist police, contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6677372. Information can be provided anonymously.
