Queensland Water Police have recovered the body of a man in water off the Port of Brisbane.
It is believed the 53-year-old Brisbane man was trying to cross the Brisbane River in a small tender.
Investigations are continuing to establish the man‘s movements, as he was last seen by a friend on Monday, February 28, at Colmslie Reserve, Police said in a statement.
The man was reported missing to police yesterday.
A crew member of a bulk carrier berthed at the Port of Brisbane observed the deceased in the water and contacted police around 5.15pm yesterday.
