A man’s body has been recovered from flood waters in Nanango this morning, Queensland Police have confirmed.
Police say that at around 5.30am, emergency services were called following reports a vehicle had been swept into floodwaters along Brown Street in Nanango.
A search and rescue operation was launched and at approximately 8.15am the body of a 47-year-old man was located in water near Sandy Creek Bridge.
“Queensland Police diving unit officers have arrived and are still searching for the vehicle in the flooded creek,” Police said.
