Man suffers stab wound in Castle Hill home invasion

An investigation is underway after a 55-year-old man was injured during a home invasion in Sydney this morning.

Police say that at around 8.45am, emergency services were called to a home on Gilham Street in Castle Hill, following reports of a home invasion.

“Officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command attended and located the occupant – a 55-year-old man – suffering a wound to his chest and is currently undergoing surgery for his injuries.”

“He was treated on scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken by Ambulance to Westmead Hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.”

A crime scene has been established and an investigation launched into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
