The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to a rural property at Segenhoe, south west of Scone, NSW, just after 11am today to airlift a 58-year-old man injured when his ride-on lawn mower rolled.
Rescue crews say the man suffered serious injuries in the incident.
“Local Ambulance Paramedics and Emergency Services attended the location and commenced treatment of the male prior to the arrival of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and Critical Care Medical Team,” Westpac Rescue said in a statement.
“The male was treated by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical team for serious chest and spinal injuries before stabilised and flown direct to the John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle in a stable condition.”
