A man in his 70s has died and a 71-year-old woman has been injured in a crash on the state’s Mid North Coast.
Police say that shortly before 1.30pm yesterday, emergency services were called to the Oxley Highway at Huntingdon – west of Wauchope – after reports a Toyota Prado towing a caravan, travelling eastbound, had left the road and crashed.
“The driver, a man believed to be aged in his 70s, died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“The passenger, a 71-year-old woman, was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital in a stable condition.”
