A man has died in a workplace incident in the state’s Orana region yesterday.
Police say that at about 5.30pm on Monday, emergency services were called to a worksite on Wonbobbie Road, Tenandra, about 110km north west of Dubbo, after reports a piece of machinery had fallen on a man.
He was treated at the scene but died soon after. He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 70s.
Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District have commenced inquiries into the incident and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Police have notified SafeWork NSW.
