A man has died in a house fire in Altona this morning.
Emergency services were called to a unit fire on Romawi Street about 3.30am.
Police say a man, who is yet to be identified, was located inside the premises and sadly died at the scene.
“A crime scene has been set up and although the circumstances surrounding the fire are yet to be determined,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“An arson chemist will be in attendance later this morning to examine the scene.”
