Victorian Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Bellfield this morning.
Emergency services were called to a Davidson Street apartment building shortly before 11.30am.
The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was declared deceased at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding his death are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing, Victoria Police said in a statement.
“Police arrested a 54-year-old man, of no fixed address, nearby who will be interviewed in relation to the incident,” Police said.
