A 78-year-old motorcyclist has lost his life in a crash at Mutarnee this morning.
Initial investigations indicate that just before 11am, the man was travelling southbound on the Bruce Highway when his motorcycle veered off the road and crashed.
“The rider, a 78-year-old Kelso man, died at the scene. The circumstances of the crash are currently being investigated by Townsville’s Forensic Crash Unit,” Queensland Police said in a statement today.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dashcam vision to come forward.
