Man, 68, charged over alleged sexual touching of shop customer

A 68-year-old man will appear in court today charged following an investigation into an alleged sexual touching incident in Sydney’s inner west this week.

Police say that at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, a 23-year-old woman attended a business on Glebe Point Road, Glebe, where she was approached and allegedly inappropriately touched by a man who was working at the store.

Following inquiries, detectives attended the store yesterday and arrested a 68-year-old man.

He was taken to Surry Hills Police Station and charged with sexually touch another person without consent.

The Glebe man was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court today.
