A 67-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after a motorbike accident near Laguna in the NSW Hunter Region just after midday today.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter crew were deployed to a dirt road near Laguna at 12.15, where they found the man suffering chest and leg injuries.

“Due to the remote location, the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team were winch inserted into the area to initially treat the patient,” a Westpac Rescue Helicopter spokesperson said.

“NSW Ambulance paramedics were able to drive into the location and assist the medical team and road transport the patient to where the helicopter was able to land.”
