A 62-year-old man is in police custody as Homicide Squad detectives investigate the death of a man in Alexandra this morning.
“Emergency services were called to an address on Bayley Street following reports of an altercation about 1.40am,” Victoria Police said in a statement this morning.
“The man, who is yet to be formally identified, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“A 62-year-old Alexandra man was arrested at the address and remains in custody.”
Police say the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.
