A single vehicle crash in Mackay last night has claimed the life of a 58-year-old local man.
Preliminary information indicates the man was driving along Nebo Road in West Mackay when he crashed into the rear of a parked vehicle at around 8.15pm on Tuesday night, Queensland Police said in a statement this morning.
“The man was treated at the scene before being transported to Mackay Base Hospital where he passed away,” Police said.
Investigations by the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing.
