WA Police have charged a 50-year-old man with more than 60 stealing offences after an extensive operation into his alleged offending.

It will be alleged the man was involved in various criminal incidents across the metropolitan area, between June and October 2022.

WA Police say extensive investigative work was conducted to locate the man, including 127 search warrants being executed at 62 different houses across the metro area.

On Wednesday 19 October 2022, the man was arrested in South Perth, and was charged with 69 offences including:
• 15 counts of aggravated home burglary and commit
• 13 counts of steal motor vehicle
• 18 counts of stealing, and various other offences.

“This type of serious offending, on such an extensive scale, has a significant impact on our community,” said Det Superintendent Rob Anderson of Criminal Gangs & Regional Investigations Division.

“The safety and comfort of those impacted by these crimes have been compromised, and the effects can sometimes be long-lasting.

“The WA Police Force treat such extensive offending as an utmost priority, and we will continue to do everything we can to arrest these individuals and put them before the courts.

“I am extremely proud of all the officers involved in this operation. The determination and personal commitment of all officers involved resulted in a serious offender being removed from the community, and put before the judicial system.

“Those who harbour or assist these types of offenders in evading police may face charges themselves,” he said.

The 50-year-old appeared in Perth Magistrate’s Court today.
