Kiwi pair wanted over jewellery theft

Queensland Police are seeking public assistance to identify two people following the theft of a $7,500 gold bracelet from a Gold Coast store.

Police say that around midday on February 21, a man and woman (pictured) entered a jewellery store at a shopping centre in Coomera.

“The male is believed to have accessed a drawer and removed a gold bracelet before leaving the store shortly after. The bracelet is valued at approximately $7,500,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 175cm tall with short dark hair and possibly aged in his fifties or sixties. The woman is also Caucasian with dark brown hair and dark eyes, and was seen wearing dark jeans and a white shirt.

Both the man and woman are believed to have New Zealand accents, Police said.
