Queensland Police are investigating after the body of a 61-year-old man was discovered at a Southport unit this morning.
“Police were called to the Barney Street unit around 7.30am, after management of the complex discovered the body of a male tenant following a welfare check,” Police said in a statement.
“The unit was declared a crime scene just before 8am.”
Investigations are continuing to determine the cause of the man’s death and there is no further information available at this stage, Police said.
