Homicide detectives appeal over missing Fitzgibbon man

Queensland Police homicide detectives are investigating the suspicious disappearance of a 54-year-old Fitzgibbon man who was reported missing earlier this month.

Brett Orme (pictured) was last seen at an Odense Street, Fitzgibbon address on August 11th before leaving in a white 2012 Nissan Navara with Queensland registration 354WAN (also pictured).

He contacted family on Sunday, August 13th, and investigations have revealed that he was at Iron Bark Gully, Samford, at 12:40pm on that same day but has not been seen or heard from since, Queensland Police said in a statement today.

The white Nissan Navara was located by police last Friday, August 19th, at the Tinchi Tamba wetlands, Bald Hills. The vehicle has since been seized by investigators, who are conducting a thorough forensic search.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen Brett or the white Nissan Navara with Queensland registration 354WAN between August 11th and August 19th in the Greater Brisbane area to come forward.

Brett is described as Caucasian, approximately 180 centimetres tall, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be wearing a high-visibility trade polo shirt.
