NSW Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate an 88-year-old woman missing in Sydney’s inner west.
Tasia Diniotis (pictured), last spoke to her family via phone about 4pm on Monday.
“When Tasia failed to return to her home on Queen Street, Ashfield, as planned, she was reported missing to officers from Burwood Police Area Command about 5.30pm today, who commenced inquiries into her whereabouts,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Police and family hold concerns for Tasia’s welfare due to her age.”
Tasia is described as being of Mediterranean appearance, about 160cm tall, of medium build with brown hair and grey roots.
Tasia is known to take long walks and frequents the Canterbury area.
Anyone with information about Tasia’s whereabouts is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
