A 16-year-old girl has been arrested after a stolen car crashed into a tree at Seven Hills overnight.
Police say that shortly after midnight, emergency services were called to Best Road, near Ross Street, Seven Hills after reports a Jeep Grand Cherokee had crashed.
“Officers from Blacktown Police Area command attended the scene and arrested a 16-year-old female who is believed to have been driving the car,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“She was taken to Blacktown Police Station where she is assisting police with inquiries.”
Police say three passengers were seen getting out of the crashed car and running from the scene.
“A search of the surrounding area was carried out with the assistance of the Dog Unit and Polair, however, no one was found.”
Initial inquiries suggest the vehicle was stolen from an address at Avalon Beach on March 2.
