Four people have died, including a 67-year-old Wamuran man, following a plane crash near Redcliffe this morning.
Police and emergency services responded to reports a small plane crashed in waters off the coast of Redcliffe shortly after 9am, Queensland Police said in a statement.
“A multi-agency investigation is underway with the Forensic Crash Unit assisting other agencies, including the Australian Transport Safety Bureau,” Police said.
The pilot, 67-year-old Robert Watterson (pictured) and his three passengers, a 41-year-old Brisbane man, his 10-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son, all died in the crash.
Investigations are continuing.
