Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of a 20-tonne excavator worth more than $130,000 from a Balliang address.
Police say the excavator was stolen from an address in Primes Court sometime between December 23 and January 4.
“A Hitachi excavator, model ZX200LC3, was stolen from the rear yard of the address,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“Investigators believe the unknown offender/s would have required a truck to transport the excavator away from the scene.”
An image of the excavator has been released in the hope someone recognises it or can provide information on its current whereabouts.
