An 81-year-old man has died following a serious crash at Woolbrook, north of Tamworth earlier this week.
Police say that just after 7pm on Tuesday, a Toyota Prado 4WD was travelling west on the Oxley Highway when it appears to have left the roadway, travelled through grassland and impacted with a dirt culvert.
“The driver was assisted from the car by a passing motorist before emergency services were contacted,” NSW Police said.
“The injured man was taken to Tamworth Base Hospital for treatment where his condition deteriorated.
“The man died in hospital yesterday.”
