Driver, 67, killed in collision with truck at Stony Creek

The Queensland Police Forensic Crash unit are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash at Stony Creek that claimed the life of a 67-year-old Stafford Heights man.

Police say that at around 10.20am today, a white Toyota Corolla hatchback was traveling westbound on Daguilar Highway between Searle Road and Holmwood Road when it collided with a Kenworth B-double truck.

“The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota Corolla, a 67-year-old Stafford Heights man died at the scene,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

“The driver of the B-double, a 66-year-old Araluen man sustained non-life threatening Injuries and was transported to Caboolture Hospital for treatment.”

Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are underway.

Anyone who witness the incident or has dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
