“It’s a great opportunity for those Northern Tasmanian’s with a few more years on the board to discover some new activities, meet new people and have a lot of fun.”

Program highlights include a lecture by our own Cr Dr George Razay on healthy ageing, which will be held from 11am on Friday October 20 at Newnham’s Northern Suburbs Community Centre, a free aquafit class at the City of Launceston Leisure & Aquatic Centre from 11.15am on Monday October 16, and an ink marbling workshop for grandparents and grandchildren at the Queen Victoria Art Gallery at Royal Park on Saturday October 21, from 10.30am.

“There is a smorgasbord of activities for Seniors Week 2023 in Northern Tasmania, and I encourage people to make the most of it,” Mayor Garwood said.
