A 72-year-old cyclist has died after being hit by a car on the state’s central coast.
Police say that at around 1.30pm on Sunday, a cyclist and Hyundai vehicle collided on Wilfred Barrett Drive at Magenta.
The cyclist, a 72-year-old man, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital where he later died.
“The driver of the Hyundai, a 66-year-old woman, was not injured and underwent mandatory testing,” NSW Police said.
“Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the incident.”
