A couple will appear in court today over the death of a three-year-old girl in Townsville yesterday.
Police were notified at around 3.30pm on Friday, when a 37-year-old Burdell woman and 29-year-old Burdell man took the girl to the Townsville University Hospital.
“Preliminary investigations indicate the young child was left inside a locked vehicle for most of the day,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
Police subsequently charged the pair with manslaughter and they are due to appear before the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
