The body of a man – believed to be that of a man missing from Tamworth – has been located.
In a statement this morning, NSW Police said the 67-year-old man was last seen in Kootingal on Monday 13 December.
“He was reported missing to officers attached to Oxley Police District, who conducted extensive inquiries into his whereabouts,” NSW Police said.
“Just before 1.30pm yesterday, police were called to a property at Bendemeer, after the body of a man was located with a vehicle.
“Officers from Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene. While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be the missing man.”
Police say their initial inquiries lead them to believe there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
