Award-winning Seniors living design firm expands to capital

Australian architecture and interiors firm, Gray Puksand – the firm behind the award-winning Greenway Views Seniors Living project – has announced the opening of a new studio in Canberra.

With existing studios in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the move comes as Gray Puksand expands its work in the nation’s capital.

Managing partner, Stephen Turner said the move to open the new studio was part of the firm’s long-term plans to increase its local participation and geographic presence in Canberra.

“The ACT is a growing market across all of our main sectors, and we are excited to be  on the ground as we forge ahead in making a mark with leading buildings for Canberrans,” he said.

“For Gray Puksand, opening a Canberra studio is a natural step and strategic move for  us as we look to fully service clients across the east coast of Australia and become a  greater part of this community.

“We look forward to continuing our design work and research in Canberra by being on the ground while also creating local job opportunities to join our team.”

He said the office, located in the city, would enable the firm to continue its growth while servicing clients with both existing and new locally based team members.

Gray Puksand’s work in Canberra spans multiple sectors including aged care, education, commercial, and government.

“Canberra is slated to undergo a significant period of development and we are playing  a role by investing in the future of the city, through both our projects and local presence,” said Mr Turner.

Projects include Throsby Primary School and Greenway Views Seniors Living.

Last week, their project Greenway Views Seniors Living won the Urban Developer Award for Development of the Year — Retirement, Aged Care and Senior Living.

Mr Turner said the design for Greenway Views Seniors Living set the standard for a new model of senior community living which offered an experience that connected place, community and care and gave residents a sense of freedom.
