A 92-year-old former primary school teacher has been charged with the alleged historical indecent assault of a student on Sydney’s North Shore.
In March 2019, detectives from North Shore Police Area Command commenced an investigation into reports a Year 6 boy was indecently assaulted by a teacher in 1972.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 92-year-old man at a home in Chain Valley Bay yesterday.
He was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with indecent assault on male.
Police will allege in court that the man indecently assaulted the boy – then aged 11 – in the classroom of a school in Mosman.
He was given conditional bail to appear at Wyong Local Court on November 11.
