An 89-year-old man has died after a collision between a car and bicycle at Gooburrum.

Police say that at around 4.30pm yesterday, investigations suggest the cyclist was riding west along Tantitha Road when he collided with a car travelling in the same direction at the intersection with Gooburrum Road.

“The 89-year-old man died on scene. The 18-year-old woman driving the car was not physically injured,” Queensland Police said in a statement.

“Crash investigators are now working to determine the circumstances of the crash.”
