An 85-year-old man was airlifted to hospital yesterday after being struck by a tree while conducting felling work on a property in the state’s Northern Tablelands.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to the property at Walcha yesterday afternoon.
“An 85 year old male was seriously injured whilst felling a tree,” the Westpac crew said.
“It is believed that the tree came down and struck the man on the head.
“He was reported to be in a stable condition.”
