Next month the Port Lincoln Leisure Centre will celebrate a significant milestone – its 40th anniversary.
In recognition of the four decade milestone, the City of Port Lincoln Council and YMCA have invited the community to a celebration at the Port Lincoln Leisure Centre on Saturday, 9 November.
Mayor, Diana Mislov said the centre had played an important role in the community’s way of life over the past 40 years.
“It’s where babies and young children learn important water safety skills, and people of all ages use the pool facilities for rehabilitation, fitness and fun,” she said.
“The basketball, squash and gym facilities not only support health and wellbeing but also foster social connections, creating a welcoming space for skill development, friendship, and sense of community.
“The centre provides something for everyone. Join us in celebrating this remarkable milestone, acknowledging the many key contributors like Mr Sime Sarin and Mr Bill Richter, and the positive impact the Leisure Centre continues to have on our community.”
