19-year-old is ACT’s fourth road fatality for 2021

A 19-year-old has died following a two vehicle collision on Monday in Hume – taking the Territory’s road toll to four in 2021.

Police say that at around 1.20am, emergency services were called to a collision between a Toyota Corolla and a Honda sedan on the Monaro Highway.

“ACT Ambulance Service paramedics attended to a 19-year-old male driver, however he was declared deceased at the scene,” ACT Policing said in a statement.

“The other driver was transported to hospital for assessment.”

Road Policing’ Major Collision Team attended the collision scene and will conduct an investigation of the circumstances of the collision. A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
