New CT scanner for Gold Coast

A new CT scanner has come online at the Gold Coast’s Robina Hospital today.

Gold Coast-based Minister, Meaghan Scanlon said the second scanner would give the hospital, which currently performs more than 18,000 scans a year, greater capacity to diagnose and treat patients.

“It means more patients can be looked after, and looked after quicker,” Minister Scanlon said.

“Our city will be home to 800,000 people by the time the Olympics rolls around, and our investment now means better services, good jobs and protecting our great lifestyle as we grow,” she said.
